If you haven’t realized by now, I love quick bake things lol. I really don’t want to spend my entire day in the kitchen to make 1 thing. Trust me I have a problem lol. Unless I plan for it it better not take me more than 20 minutes or else I am not doing it lol. The recipe I am about to share with you is very easy and ready to eat in about 20 minutes. The time obviously depends on your oven and environment but it’s buttery and delicious. Now let’s get into the recipe.

What You’ll Need
- 250g Ap Flour
- 5g Salt
- 20g Sugar
- 15g Baking powder
- 90g Butter (cold)
- 3g Baking soda
- 160g Buttermilk
- 2 eggs 100g
- 1tsp vanilla (you can add more if you want)

How To Make It
- Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder together.
- Add milk, egg, salt, sugar, and vanilla together and whisk.
- Add cold butter to flour mixture and break into flour until coarse meal is formed.
- Add milk mixture into four mixed and mix to combine.
- Mixture will still have dry pockets, transfer to work surface, and knead LIGHTLY. Do Not Over Mix.
- Flatten dough and cut into pieces. You can use cookie cutter if you want round scones.
- Place cut dough on baking tray with at least an inch in space between them as they spread slightly while baking
- Use 1 egg and egg wash the top of scones before baking. Sprinkle some sugar on top before putting in the oven to bake.
- Bake for 8-12 minutes at 350F. once baked remove from oven and enjoy with you favourite jam.

Things To Note
- Overmixing dough will will result in a tough product
- Dried fruit like raisins can be added to these scones. Get creative.
- Best eaten warm (my preference) but enjoy with your favourite jam (have you tried my strawberry jam?)
