If you have been following me here or over on Youtube, then you would have already noticed I like creating simple yet delicious things. I don’t always want to spend time in the kitchen for hours on end creating things to eat, that’s a big no for me lol. Since starting my weight loss journey this year I am becoming more mindful and aware of the foods I eat and how I prepare them. I love to snack (definitely not a good thing when trying to loose weight) so I am trying my best to ensure the snacks to decide to eat are on the healthier side of things. This is how I was able to create this delicious hassle-free no-bake bar. I was craving something on the sweet side and didn’t want my usual go to items like chocolate or candy. I looked around the house to see what I could make and settled on this delicious treat. I honestly don’t feel guilty eating these when I have a sudden sweet craving or want something to snack on before I eat a meal. They are made with a few simple ingredients, customizable and are delicious.

What You’ll Need:
- 250 g (2 cups) Oatmeal
- 250g (¾ cups) warmed honey
- 300g (1 ½ cups) Natural peanut butter (see notes)
- 100g (¾ cups) raisins (optional)
- 1tbsp chia seeds
- Handful of pecans ~~ Nuts optional~~

How To Make It:
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix.
- Pour mixture into a lined baking dish.
- Use palette knife to evenly spread mixture.
- Cover top with clingwrap, and press another baking pan on covered dough, it will help with even distribution ( this is optional) *video illustrates this*
- Place in freezer for 30-45 minutes to firm (it can be left in the fridge overnight to get firm)
- Once product is firm, cut into squares and enjoy.

Things To Note:
- I used natural peanut butter, if you don’t have natural peanut butter, warm the peanut butter you do have, this ensures it has fluidity and will make mixing easier.
- Warming the honey makes it easier to pour and mix.
- Another nut butter can be used if you do not like peanut butter. e.g. almond butter
- Raisins are optional, if you do not like them they can be omitted
- Nuts and seeds can be added, even chocolate, it was customizable, add things you like.
- If you are not a fan of honey, you can try a maple syrup. The consistency of maple syrup is thinner and it may require a longer time for setting.

This is my go-to snack option outside of fruits or nuts, it’s quick, easy and most definitely hassle-free which I am a huge fan of.
What are some of your favorite things to snack on that are healthy?
